If you haven't used essential oils at some point in the past 5 years, I personally think that you are a minority in today's wellness centered population. I bought my very first one 3 years ago when I was pregnant with H&L. My morning sickness was OFF THE CHARTS. I didn't find much relief from anything, so it didn't surprise me that the peppermint essential oil I purchased wasn't extremely helpful either. After the boys were born I stumbled across an article that had ideas on how to use peppermint oil - I thought why not read it since I have that entire bottle just sitting in my medicine cabinet collecting dust. Here are my favorite ways to use Peppermint!
1. Headache Relief. I rub just a little on to my temples and back of my neck when I start having symptoms of a tension headache. To be completely honest, this is what sold me on learning more about and using essential oils. Very rarely do I have to take Ibuprofen due to a headache anymore! The oils help within 30 minutes. It's almost like magic.
2. Diffusing on our main floor. Peppermint is a total pick-me-up oil! I like to put peppermint and lemon vitality in the diffuser in the morning - it's so refreshing and definitely puts some pep in my step.
3. Shower aroma. I put 3-4 drops on a wet wash cloth and put it in the corner of the shower - it's a great aroma that is sure to help you jumpstart your day.
